Hysterium: Precursor to the Madness
DING DONG! DING DONG!
The sudden sound of clock tower bells jolted Colin awake. He sat up on the bench dazed and confused, wondering when the ship was going to arrive. Fumbling around in his pocket, he pulled out an old pocket watch left for him by his grandfather. It was almost three-fifteen in the afternoon. However, he couldn't complain. The sun shone bright, but not too bright thanks to the clouds in the bright blue sky. The sky. How he wondered how it worked. Not the sky itself, but the platform he stood on. It floated high above the ground. Then again, what didn't? Ships, towns and even land hung suspended in the air. None of it made sense anymore. It was like the year 1882 has been the beginning of time itself. Colin paused on that though, the horn of a cruise liner was being blasted far away.
The station soon became crowded, people of all shapes and sizes gathered, clutching their tickets in antici
